From the Colorado high country this week 12000 ft

It always amazes me how different high elevation places in the lower 48 look compared to that same elevation in Alaska during the same season. This picture was taken in early June of last year at around 12,000’ elevation.

This fawn had been hiding in the drizzle in our pasture for hours.
Finally the doe showed up to nurse and it looked like the fawn ran laps to dry off and warm up.
