A few days ago my wife and I toured a massive estuary/sanctuary for Magellanic Penguins in the remote Patagonia region of southern Argentina (Punta Tombo). The population is estimated to be around a million at this location (and doing quite well)...



I added several thumbnail photos below to give a greater perspective in a single post. All photos were taken with my Nikon camera using a telephoto lens with the exception of the penguin walking the short-cut...my wife took that one with her iPhone!
