It's a wolverine trap, it was probably 5 feet tall 3 feet thick and 10 foot long, I was very surprised to see it were it was because somebody obviously hadto bring a chainsaw and a bunch of other tools up there to make it, was probably at 9500 elevation

I did see a wolverine about 10 miles from the trap, I'd never seen one before and after I learned what it was i was thankful that it had only a slight interest in me, it went downhill about 20 yards from me while glassing

It's alot easier packing chainsaws and hardware in on skis in the winter. About once a week have to pack in a fresh elk quarter for bait.
