Took a short hike yesterday. It took us 1 1/2 hrs to gain 700 ft. Total horizontal distance round trip was 2 miles. We weren't in a hurry and cliffed ourselves out a few times so there was some backtracking. The green arrow marks our vehicle.
What lens seems to always end up on your camera and what are you photographing/videoing? Tamron 28-70 f/2.8 seems to get more use than anything for me and is my workhorse lens.

Last three years, I've been using a 100-400 Pana/Leica and the Olympus 300mm F4. A lot of my older photos were taken with Canon 70-200F2.8, 300mmF2.8 or a 17-50F2.8 Tamron on various Canon bodies.
If I still shot full frame or APS-C regularly, I'd probably have one of the big Sigma or Tamron zooms. Great lenses for the dollar.
