I caught this nice bolt with my phone a few days ago. There's too much light to do significantly long exposures during daylight hours, so I set my phone to 8k/24 fps video. I manually set the speed, ISO, and focal distance for the conditions.
If there's a good stike, I stop the video. If not, I stop the video at 30 seconds. It makes sorting easy that way. Then I just pull the best frames and touch them up a bit in Lightroom.

Sharing a few different and final photos from a Jan '23 cruise that included 3-days in Antarctica. For context, early each morning there was a lite fog that teased an obscured distant view of that seldom seen and predominantly ice-covered continent (illustrated below)...

However, each day the fog progressively lifted to a low overcast level as we slowly cruised through several scenic bays and expansive coast-lines...BTW, all photos in this post represent just a fractional glimpse of only ONE bay.

Every now and then, each day, direct sun-light would peek through the cloud cover...

Sharing with gratitude for a wondrously memorable travel adventure...truly humbling just to be there.

Summer adventures now await...and of course fall hunting!
