My fellow Arizonan and friend Tony “Outdoor Writer” here recently passed as many of you know. I went to a local spot he told me about many years ago that not only holds great deer, but has the country’s best sunsets.
He would have captured this shot SO much better than I did, but this one’s for him. Original is way too large so this is compressed down for the site here.
Double exposure with a phone through a spotting scope. One for the grass and one for the moon. I used a free app to remove the out-of-focus moon on the grass picture, and since it's processing power wasn't great, I had to manually cut around most of the 'beards'. I did also retrace some of the hairs or many of them would have been lost during the process. And then I stacked the two pictures.
