the ones pictured are MSR Evo Ascents- 22" long (they have optional 4" tails available)
I also have a pair of MSR Lightnings that are 30" (with optional 4" tails)
most of the MSR shoes have very aggressive traction (crampons and under the deck) which are a must for mountain travel; they also have a good binding system
if you're 220 lbs and dealing with deeper, soft snow- I'd recommend 30" shoes and grab tails if they are available
look at the MSR Lightning Explores- good grip, good bindings, lightweight and available in 30" length (with optional 4" tails)
I'm not familiar with other manufacturers' lines, so there could be other suitable shoes I'm not aware of
