haha, banana belt, I like it! We have some friends down there. They complain about the cold until they check our temps, and instantly they feel warmed up!
Init2live, my truck is the same and bottoms out at -40F. I saw -53F at work today with plenty of places in the interior with temps -55 to -60F. I am ready for spring!
Beautiful fish! Pictures like that make me wish I was further south... but every time I get near Anchorage, the "city" life makes me want to head back up! I just wish we had beauties like that up here. Grayling are fun, but they aren't steelies.
This is a great photo at an angle that makes it pretty easy to see the growth rings! Can anyone school me and tell me how old this ram is??? Based on my very untrained eye, he looks 7 or 8? I have zero sheep experience other than seeing a ram in the black hills one time. They really interest me & I'd like to learn more about them. Thanks in advance!
Was out taking photos of some ducks (those to come) but stumbled ass-backwards into this. I love hunting as much as the next guy. I could hear duck hunters rattling off shots not too far from me. Every once in a while though, it's nice to just plop your tail down in the dirt. Take in the "fresh" air of the marsh. Listen to the quacks and whistles of the ducks, the honks of the geese and the rest of the waterfowl symphony. Then, as the house lights go down, the show starts...
