Who has been to PheasantFest? Who knows good dinner around Kansas City Convention Center?

I had some flight vouchers and hotel points, so I am headed out to this on Friday and Saturday. Pretty excited...

We went the last time it was in KC. Seems like maybe 6-8 years ago? It was a good time but we didn't attend any of the evening events, so can't comment on those. We are really excited that it is back in KC and will absolutely be attending this year!

As far as eating, there's all sorts of places. The Majestic is a good steakhouse within walking distance of the show and it's good. Pretty spendy though. Piropos is really good, but I have only gone there once, as I just found out about it. Rack of lamb was awesome. There are plenty of sports bars with food in the area.

Been to PFest a few times. Fun and tons of vendors to check out. Lots of habitat info and seminars. Do a preread of the agenda as there is so much that you have to plan your trip or you will miss stuff.

This probably sounds dumb. But are people selling items in the booths? All my trade show experience has been in manufacturing and those are strictly look only type deals.

Yep for sure. Dig out the hidden money in your sock drawer and bring it along. Just in case!

Why is nobody recommending BBQ?
Because none of the notable BBQ places are within walking distance of the KC convention center. I guess Arthur Bryant’s is the closest but for the most part they are scattered around the 60 wide metro area. There are actually a lot of good restaurants within a mile or so of the convention center but it’s more your urban foodie scene than typical KC barbecue institutions like Gates/Bryants/Joes/Jack Stack.
