Peax Equipment Customer Service TERRIBLE

I’m not one to really ever post anything or write reviews but the two separate customer service experiences I have had with Peax have been absolutely terrible. I currently have a headlamp that does not work and wanted to warranty it for a new one and they kept running around the bush basically telling me I don’t know what I’m doing and to try all these different things even though I told them prior I had and just keep telling me to do a warranty claim even though there already is one. After many emails back and forth I’ve came to the conclusion that they simply don’t want to warranty it and luckily I got my local Scheels to exchange it even though it’s been longer than 90 days. I will never buy anything from Peax again and warn others as well. I have read similar posts on here as well. I would avoid them at all costs.
 
I had a bad customer service experience also. Carbon tip fell out of the trekking pole. No abuse just regular use. Clearly a manufacturer defect. They wouldn't warrant it. But they did send me a link to buy a whole new bottom section for $30+tax and shipping. Anytime someone talks about them , I steer them away.

This is the first time I’ve heard of Peax. Went to their web page and was kinda surprised at how expensive their products were. Especially for stuff made in China.
 
If you like the headlamp, get a sofirn next time. Or two or three. Skip the peax.

Yep basically can buy 4 sofirns for the price of one peax for it to be made is the same building, with the same body, and only slightly less performance.
 
I have Peax Gaiters, 2 headlamps, and trekking poles. I really like the quality of their stuff except the bracket the headlamp rides in, however I emailed Peax about that and they sent me a handful of them free of charge for when/if the brackets I’m using breaks. Also, my current pair of gaiters, and one of the headlamps I got for a heavy discount from Bryce at the hunt expo. He had recognized me from a small conversation the year prior at the expo and sold them to me for 30% off or something like that. Sucks they’ve gotten big enough that CS has gone downhill, but I’ve always had great experiences and can’t say a bad thing about them IME.
