a quick copy and paste of my spread sheet. the first column is item weight. second if i add in the tally's my packweight for me. i think this current weight is for a hiking trip with the wife. that leaves about 30lbs for beer...

i will add i run a wilderness packs with a kifaru xtl lid. feathered friends bag. ridge rest pad. tikka t3SL. spindrift jacket. precip raingear. kovea camp 5 stove. gsi dualist cookset.

I guess I can see beer as a viable substitute for both food and water in this instance. Now that is efficient packing!
