Over 60 guys go fishing to!!

Nice pile of fish Old Rook. At 62 if I’m not hunting I’m fishing. I fish about every weekend in Pine Island Sound FL. I usually bag it about the second week of June until Mid September as it gets pretty hot down this way. But this year I am still getting out there on Saturdays.

My last couple of fishing excursions into the Bob Marshall have been tougher than some of my hunts! :ROFLMAO:

^ that halibut looks like it would feed a guy for three months (y)
Yep, that 'but was pushing a hundred-pounds. That said, my favorite eating were the Coho's...cooked them right there on the river...

Those pic's (minus the 'but) were just a few examples of fish taken on unguided 10-day remote single-person raft floats...over a hundred-miles through absolute fly-fishing heaven! Did that float a half-dozen times over the years after turning 60. The most recent was after turning 70.

Always very thankful for every adventure in life!

Sweet! I’m heading to AK next week. Salmon and Halibut on the agenda.
Excellent! I hope you have a great time up here!

The sockeye run on the Kenai/Russian Rivers was crazy high numbers this year.

I'll be doing Halibut next week as well.

I'll also be fishing Alaska next week. I saw where the kings opened back up on Aug 4 for non-residents. I guess I should say king since one is the annual limit for nr.

Every chance I get! Love getting the grand kids out too!

Well, I'm not having to hike in like you all, but it can get rough, sitting back in a boat, watching the stars, drinking coffee, listening to the sound of the waves lapping the boat and for a big catfish to hit a jug or two. Then, it's game on.

I also like to walk around the pond and lazily fish for bass and bream. It's more fun when the granddaughter wants to get her rod out and fish, too.

I snowmobiled into a lake yesterday and picked up a limit of lake trout
Had the place to myself
