Hey everyone! Been talking to the wife and got the ok to to start researching to book an archery Dahl sheep hunt. Looking to get any and all suggestions from folks on outfitters for an archery Dahl sheep hunt. I'm looking at the NWT but open to other options. Any suggestions are more then welcome!

Thanks!!

Stan Stevens, MMO outfitters. Just did a Sept. rifle sheep hunt, their earlier season bow hunters all had opportunity, and only one didn't connect. Great area, lots of game.

Jonah Stewart in Alaska, he's a bowhunter and his track record with bowhunters is pretty dang good. A bit cheaper than NWT as well...

Alaska has a bow only drawing hunt for the chugach mountains. Great opportunity in a great area. Sitka gear made a video of Adam foss's October sheep hunt. Pretty cool. Check it out.

Other than that, I'd say canada for sure.

I would check out Lance Kronberger. Bow hunter and works extremely hard for his hunters.

Gana River Outfitters. Harold Grinde is a super outfitter and has a few great archery areas for Dall sheep. He will only book a few archery hunters a year but would be worth trying to book with.

His outfit and Arctic Red do not use helicopters. Most do in NWT.

Out of all the research I did I choose to book my Archery Dall with Gana River in NWT for 2018. Like stated above they only do three archery hunts a year and have a bow only area. I think my # 2 pick would be Ram Head.

I just watched that Foss hunt. It wasnt hard for me to recogize the area he's hunting. I hunted that exact same mountain 3 years ago and chased a ram with a broom at the bottom of the horn drop on the left side and a tight full curl on the right. Crazy coincide or did that ram make it until now? Looked to be a 10-11 year old ram so it just may be him.

That ram was shot 2 years ago if i remember correctly. not recent.
