Similar to others posting this morning, I just drew my Colorado Sheep tag and I’m pumped! I drew unit 9 for archery. I’ve backpacked those mountains in the past and already done a pile of e-scouting, looking over past harvest data but would love to chat with anyone who’s hunted the Sangre De Cristos before. Please PM me if you have. Mainly looking for intel on trails that aren’t worth the energy or great trails to backpack this summer while burning boot leather. Any advice welcome! I’m happy to put on the miles and do my own glassing… but deeply appreciate any suggestions you’re willing to offer.

Thanks!

Congrats! Mark your calendar on June 21 for the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society Sheep and Goat Hunter Meet & Greet. Registration opening soon at: https://www.bighornsheep.org/meet-greet/

We will have dozens of experienced Colo sheep a goat hunters on hand to provide unit specific info to help you hit the ground running with your scouting and hunt planning.

Last year we had close to 300 folks on hand for an incredible half day of hunters helping hunters!

We also will have 500+ previous sheep and goat hunters, guides and enthusiasts at our May 17th RMBS Rendezvous coming up in Loveland.

Both RMBS Meet & Greet June 21 and Rendezvous on May 17 are great time investments for newly minted sheep and goat tag holders to learn from folks who have been in the game for a long time.

I think I might be to new of a user to pm, not sure on that or if it's just my lack of tech savy...At any rate I could provide you with some info on the area if you can direct mesage me.
