Oregon hunting guide killed by accidental discharge

Thats awful. Gun safety can't be harped on enough! Prayers for all involved.
Agreed. I’ve got a “friend” who muzzle sweeps people every time he handles a gun and then acts like everyone is being ridiculous when they tell him not to because “it’s unloaded” and “it’s not going to just go off.” That same guy has shot a hole through the floor of his house in the middle of a party and shot a hole through the floorboard of his boss’s pickup. I don’t go to his house anymore and barely associate with him when we happen to be at the same get together

That is not someone I would be spending time with if a firearm is involved.

It’s a very bad deal. One moment of carelessness leads to a death and many other lives impacted forever. Whether it was an accidental or negligent discharge, matters not to me, a muzzle was pointed where it never should be.

So regardless of the forearm’s function, the operator was negligent. A good buddy is very tight with that family, absolutely devastating.
