We drew as expected, my son and I got archery deer and elk tags and my daughter drew a rifle buck tag and a rifle spike elk tag. With the new regulations on East side Oregon archery being draw hunts it is getting more difficult to bank points and still draw tags. It's not impossible but you definitely need to be more flexible with were you are willing to hunt.

Yeah unfortunately that’s just what it is now. Still good tags to be had for not too many points fortunately

My girlfriend drew a mule deer tag for a certain mountain range in the SE part of the state. It was her 2nd year ever applying for tags. She had a 0.5% chance to draw it. She's a fairly new hunter so I'm not thinking we're going to be able to pull a monster out of there, but it should be a great experience. The deer herd is supposed to be doing really well.

I drew an archery elk tag in Eastern Oregon where I always go

It changed to a draw last year, still got it with zero points

Drew a buck tag out east in the normal unit, and a warner lope tag, both out of the 25% this year. My brother has an elk tag out east too. Looking forward to this summer/fall.

Drew my 2nd choice archery elk tag over east which is great. My 2 hunting buddies did not however ha ha. I'll be elk hunting solo this year.

That's lucky. I didn't think the 25% really existed.

Great job. I didn't think the 25% actually existed.

This is the second year I took tags from the 25% pool, had an elk tag last year. Before last year I only knew it existed because of my hunting party always pulling from the pool.
