Looking to build one gun to use for pretty much everything. Long range shooting (regularly out to 750, occasionally extend out to 1000yds), hunting mule deer, bear, and elk out west in the mountains, and white tail back east.

Budget would be about $3k. Going to mount either a Maven RS1.2 or Trijicon Tenmile 3-18 to the top (not to be included in that $3k build). I am also left handed unfortunately, so there's another factor. 6.5CM seems to be

Looking for any input those from those who may have gone down this road already. What I'm thinking a semi custom TIKKA 6.5CM build from UM with the RokStok.

I don't have unlimited funds for multiple rifles like this. So this is my one gun to rule them all!

From personal observation as a long term elk guide… the 6.5 CM is not a thousand yard elk round. Half that maybe.

Yea, I realized in the original post it wasn’t clear. Those 1000 yard shots will only ever happen at steel.

Max hunting range for me will be 500

I went through a very similar build plan last year. I planned out the build costs updated the actual costs as I went with the real totals after tax and shipping on the receipts to reflect what I actually spent.

(Normally all of the checkboxes are checked, but I unchecked them because it crosses out the text in the whole row and makes it harder to read)

The suppressor transfer and barrel cut and thread were both on the high side, I kinda got swindled lol.

I’ve been wondering what a cut and thread should cost! If there are any suggestions, open to hearing them.

Ideally, I’d like a 20” barrel and then just throw the reaper on the end.
