So not just the throat, but the entire length of the bore? That's interesting.

It's not really relevant. The point of this thread is to help me decide how to turn a 20lb rifle into one that's not 20lb, and be useful in the process.

I’m doing a similar project right now, but I’m going to a 6mm ARC on a heavy chassis. Minimal recoil & noise, very long brass & barrel life, easy brass and component availability.

Best of all, I can shoot as fast as I want without frying my barrel & I can do my practice at 500 yards without going deep in the mountains to shoot out to 1000.

I already have a 300wsm and suppressors.

I guess if 100fps is worth the squeeze to you then another 6.5 would be fine.

Stepping up in powder is likely going to cause you the same complaints as the 6 creed.

I think every hand loader should have a dasher.
