Does anybody actually hate Cam Haynes? Does anybody hate Newberg? I’d be surprised if anybody actually hates them.

I personally don’t hate any of them, maybe the little guy on hush that always cries, but still, hate isn’t the word.

I just don’t care about them. I just wish they’d go away. They all love hunting, just like the rest of us, I just wish they’d go back to doing what they love.

I try not to click on these links because that’s why they’re doing it. Not for the love of animals. Not for the love of what they do. They do it for clicks.

@fngTony I hear ya. I’m going back to training the pup. It’s a weekend and babysitting some grown adults who want to turn everything into an argument or a meme fest gets old.
I have trained a few dogs and always liked the dutch shepherds among the top few breeds. Great protection dogs.

Eh, if there is a ******* good story worth sharing you should ******* be able to share it with ******* anyone. When every other ******* word out of your ******* mouth is is ****, shit, bitch, asshole, etc, the weight of the ******* story starts to ******* suffer.

See how that ******* works?

Threads like these bring back memories of when I was in middle school.

Based on comments I skipped the first 10 minutes of the video. The rest of the video was well done.

What have you done for hunting or the animals aside from participate in hunting and online forums? Just so we have a frame of reference for who is asking...
Good god, bunch of dam douches. He seems like a stand up guy with a crazy athletic ability.
While you guys with beer guts and three animals to your name or high paying jobs that pay to just look the part seem to be the problem.
Post up your athletic and harvest accomplishments.

Just a friendly reminder that cam hanes may run a marathon a day to kill elk but his guide does not.

how dare you judge my beer drinking.

I’m 43 now and was born/raised in Oregon.
I didn’t start bowhunting until I was around 20. At that time Cameron just wrote his first book I believe.

At that time it was pretty neat/inspiring to see what a normal guy from not to far away from where I lived was doing. His books/articles along with guys like South Cox, and Roy Roth were pretty damn exciting to read.

I was already starting to get into backpacking a little bit, but the stories from these guys kind of crystallized in my mind that their style of hunting is what I really enjoyed. Getting away from everything, and going on what felt to me like some real adventures.

When YouTube and social media really caught on not too many years later I pretty much stopped reading any hunting magazines or watching any videos. It really all turned to crap for me, and was nothing g I had any interest in. Every couple years I might try to watch some of the videos guys out out, and find myself wanting to throw a chair at the TV!

Pretty sure I haven’t read or watched anything Cameron Hanes has put out for at least 10-15 years.

after reading all the comments here I finally had to watch this video for my self.

I honestly thought it was pretty dang good, especially if you skip the first 5-6 minutes.

Out of the hour long video I really only felt like maybe 10minutes of it was egomaniac type stuff, mostly from the other guy that had a bow

The rest seemed like the story of a guys best friend that he lost, and how that friend had made him the man he is today. He literally said he was a beer drinking loser, and Roy made him the man he is today. Cameron Hanes actually came off pretty humble. I also didn’t see any pimping of products, or any commercialization.

Pretty much a tribute to his best friend that lived and died hunting in Alaska, that he credits with his success in life!

I am something of an adult onset hunter and cam was part of the inspiration I had to take up bow hunting in 2015. Along with the bow hunting, the dude runs like Forrest Gump on crack, lifts weights like an 80’s action star, manages a social media presence and holds down a 40-hour a week job. Hespect.

I watched the video. It’s a bit high drama. So what. It was well shot and well edited. Good music. Better than 90% of the crap out there. I have no issues with it.

I know I don’t have the same physical abilities he does, no marathon a day sort of stuff. But I sure wouldn’t mind going on a bunch of amazing hunts.

I agree. It's not that I hate what they're doing, I just don't have any enthusiasm for it.

I do intensly dislike it when actions done for clicks mess thing up for regular guys, though.

Lastly, I don't get bowhunting dangerous game with rifle backup. If you want to bowhunt, fine, accept the consequences. If you need backup, you are essentially admitting that archery equipment isn't 100% up to the job anyway. If you want to get close, guess what, rifles work great at close range, and you get the experience you wanted.

Just one curmudgeons opinion.......
