Ok…I need to clean my 22CM after 307 rounds

If you never clean them, how would you see it?

My rifles tend to get a nice layer of carbon on the face of the muzzle, how would I know if they are pitted without cleaning it off?
I suppose that’s a fair comment. I’ll say I have never seen it on the muzzle while changing muzzle devices (ie switching a surefire muzzle device for a TBAC or CGS), but let me flip this around.

If I’ve never seen it, all the guns work just fine, and no issues have arisen where this needed to be found, does it matter if it’s there or not?

I guess if I hunted my rifle for 2 years with zero upkeep and had some corrosion I don’t think I’d be surprised.

Hopefully it’s out of the bore and still shoots well. Clean it up and by the time it needs another cleaning hopefully it will be ready for a new tube .
