Already been done in a couple different versions. There is one rolling around on a MK12 somewhere currently- that one is an OG with a hub backend and a PRI OTB adapter, sounds very good. I believe their plan is to offer a true OPS 12th model clone with some improvements.

That would be great! It seems like the MK12 cans tend to be sold out on a regular basis from the other manufacturers. I bet they could fill orders for at least one run pretty quick.

I thought about this the other day as well. With the wave of 223 trainers being adopted, an OG223 (nice ring to it), would be awesome to have. Also wondering if that one can be 6' rather than 8 and still achieve DB requirements. @Unknown Suppressors

There a misconception here- printed Ti cans failing is either total pressure, or heat (not technically, but functionally correct). If the suppressor can take enough total pressure to be safe for realistic uses, then it’s just heat. The general answer is to not exceed 800° F- about where the cans starts to turn red, or just before. Because of that, you could say all US suppressors (since they are all printed Ti) will be full auto rated suppressors; but a better way to say it is that they are durable enough and with the appropriate built in safety margin that normal rapid fire semi auto will not make the cans fail.

Making a can “full auto rated” does not make it heavier. Full auto rated can be 1x30 round mag, or it can 7x30 round mags- or anything in between or above.

Note that it's only rated to 12.5" for 556 and not "full auto" rated. Oddly, they dont say anything about heat limits. Seems a lot of these companies could do themselves a favor by laying out out exactly what kind of use/heat their products are designed around on their websites.

Both. If the podcast talk about the predator is true that it is quieter than the OG. And also, could you not remove the ops inc collar and install a 1/2-5/8 muzzle thread adapter a run the 2" reflex of the predator on a MK12 barrel?

They don’t know, it’s just copycat made up nonsense. Companies are not actually testing their products.

You can run the cans on about anything they will fit-

While I’m sure the MK12 can clone is cool, I think there is a bigger market out there for optimized direct thread 22-24 cal cans for bolt guns. I’m looking forward to seeing what US comes up with on their predator can.

Wouldn't that just be the AEM5?

I think a lightweight and shorter can that fits a MK12 gas system would be awesome if it worked and sounded close to the ops inc.
