Anyone know when this typically happens? The website says late April. I’m getting impatient to get my rejection notice. After all they only give out 3 tags to God knows how many applicants. Lol.

September is the drawing, they need to do their summer population survey first. Probably a slight increase in tags.

About 15,500 applied this year.

Oddly enough, they let NRs apply for the Bighorn tag here. Not sure why TBH no offense Blackdirt.

pretty sure about it cost about 150is for NR in nonrefundable fess last time I applied. It not pretty expensive draw considering the odds. in no way is it cost effective considering etc implied odds.

I kind of wish they would go that route for us residents too. I imagine odds would get a heck of a lot better if they made it even $50 non refundable to apply for the Big 3. I would happily donate to G&F and conservation budget to have the chance to draw.

Not too many non ressy’s willing to dish out $150 for a possible 1 in 15,000 chance. I say possible because if they draw three residents there are 0 non res tags. Not great odds for a non resident bordering on robbery.
