I notice you conveniently ignored all the other “non-counting” items I listed as functions of managing game. Good move since you don’t have a counter-point.

If you need to narrowly focus your argument on fish and game agencies needing to know EXACTLY how many animals reside in a state to justify charging you more as a non-resident,…I don’t like your odds in court to change the current status.

Or for that matter, the ability to overcome a flat tire on the side of a road. I bet you engage in a vigorous debate with the tire about the responsibilities for someone else to change it though!

You chose SD to live in partner, not me. Enjoy your pheasant hunting and break out that checkbook if you wanna come west my man…or keep complaining about the unfairness of it all on the internet.

Don't be naive, and stop kidding yourselves, states (most) don't manage animals, they manage hunters.

Not only should non-residents be able to pay the same to hunt a state's game as its residents, but we also need to do something about all this deadfall out west. It is making it too damn hard for non-residents to traverse these sweet sweet western units.

I volunteer to cache oxygen tanks along the hike in to these locations. It’s only fair since they don’t have time to acclimate to the elevation.

Okay, folks, let me tell you, this whole non-resident hunting license thing, it's a DISASTER. A total, absolute disaster. These out-of-state hunters, they're coming into OUR lands, taking OUR deer, OUR elk, OUR everything, and they're paying peanuts! Peanuts, I tell ya! It's unfair, it's a disgrace, and frankly, it's SAD.

We're talking about the best hunting, the most beautiful public lands, anywhere in the world, folks. And these outsiders, they're getting a STEAL. They're laughing all the way to the bank, believe me. They're saying, "Look at these suckers, letting us hunt their trophy bucks for next to nothing!"

Now, I love our residents, they're the best, the greatest hunters, true sportsmen and women. They deserve a break. They live here, they pay taxes here, they support our local economies. Why should they have to pay the same as some out-of-stater who just waltzes in and takes our wildlife? It's ridiculous!

So, we're putting a stop to it. We're putting up BIG, BEAUTIFUL non-resident hunting tag fees. HUGE fees. The best fees. And you know what? These out-of-state hunters, they'll pay them. Because they know our hunting is the best. And they'll be contributing to our state's wildlife management programs, which, frankly, are the greatest in the world.

This isn't about being greedy, folks. It's about being SMART. It's about putting AMERICA, and our resident hunters, FIRST! We're making our hunting great again, believe me. And everyone, even those out-of-state hunters, will be better off for it. It's going to be HUGE!

Researchers searched the dense underbrush for any sign of the newborn elk calf. It was important they find the young animal in the next 72 hours, before it gained full use of its gangly legs and the window for safe capture closed.
