I don't know........I was going to say "don't Subaru's only have a 1" hitch"?^^The single most sure-fire way to avoid subaru jokes!
After swapping multiple barrels - I guit using anti-seize and went to TW25b. Also, I put some TW25b where barrel shoulder and the action meet - not just the barrel/action threads.Do you use just normal auto anti-seize? I have a wheeler #1 being delivered Monday.
Looks like a good design. How did you calculate the torque needed for the re-install? With the wrench not being in the center.Buffalo creek machine makes a nice external wrench for tikka. Sold out currently

I mounted my vice on the side of my bench so I just drop the barrel action down into itJust ordered a Viper vice and an internal wrench. I'm going to attempt my first barrel swap without adult supervision.
My rifle is a UM build. So I'm guessing it'll come off relatively easily with an internal wrench? Is this right? Or do I need the external?
Then installing I need 80 ft pounds and anti seize?
Is there any tips for mounting the vice? I don't really have the room on my loading bench to mount it. I thought I saw a guy here who had a trailer hitch mount.
Might be able to ethnically rig it to my bench in the garage.
Thanks fam
Once you screw your new barrel on, take it off again and clean off the shoulder of the barrel and the face of your action of any anti seize or whatever you put on the threads. Then screw it back on and torque it back downJust ordered a Viper vice and an internal wrench. I'm going to attempt my first barrel swap without adult supervision.
