Non oem Tikka barrel swaps

Do you use just normal auto anti-seize? I have a wheeler #1 being delivered Monday.
After swapping multiple barrels - I guit using anti-seize and went to TW25b. Also, I put some TW25b where barrel shoulder and the action meet - not just the barrel/action threads.

You should be able to install and remove barrels with the internal wrench after the OEM Tikka is off.

I use c clamps to hold my Viper vise to my work bench. As stated earlier - tighten the nuts on the Viper vise to barrel clamp with cheater bar.

I know one top PRS competitor (top 5) who regularly changes barrels in the parking lot of events with a trailer hitch vise. He runs a practice barrel before the match and swaps to the "match" barrel for match.

I just removed a tikka ctr barrel.

Couldn't find my hammer.

Whacked the external action wrench with a 45# kettle bell. Popped right off 😅

Im 2 for 2 on tikka factory barrels wanting a little impact to come free.

Buffalo creek machine makes a nice external wrench for tikka. Sold out currently

Looks like a good design. How did you calculate the torque needed for the re-install? With the wrench not being in the center.

Thanks

I think UM puts significant torque on the barrel, which still may not be an issue.

But, I change all my aftermarket barrels out with a sac internal action wrench. Quite a few now with no issues. Some kind of antiseize, I think I have the silver permatex. LRI uses copper as well.
