Hey folks,

I'm setting up a new bow, John's Custom Archery Sniper 19" Riser and Uukha long limbs, string made by John. Shooting off a flipper rest. I was getting a good group with bareshafts, shooting full length axis 300s, about 650 grains, 225 up front. But always bareshafts grouping well, but with the nock sitting low.
I'm pulling 29" draw. I'm shooting 3 under with even tiller, what do folks start at for nock height on 3 under? Currently set to 7/16".

Picture of the same bow with an optimus 2.0 riser.

I'd start 3/4" high and work down before I started at zero and worked up.

What's the limb and weight? I'm running 55# irbis now on a 17" riser for my first play with ilf.

I shoot split finger so typically start at 3/8" when I change a string and adjust from there - do bare shaft tune a new string as well - but if the bare shafts were hitting straight (vertically) I wouldn't mess with it no matter whether it is a little high or low from some arbitrary setting - I need the nocking point to accommodate whatever quirks I have in my typical release.

Putting a square on my nocking point currently shows me just on about 1/2" above square.

(51lb, 30" draw, all wood riser - shoot off a magnetic flipper rest - sight window cut to 0.08 negative center shot with a leather strike plate which brings it almost back to zero center shot)

You are shooting a little heavier then I do.

I either shoot 340's at 563 grains or 400's at 482 (Gold Tip Hunters).

I have even got 350's at 486 grain (but do leave them full length to weaken the spine) to hit perfectly as well (VAP TKO's).

I generally never shoot further than 25 yards so don't even really notice much of a drop in the heaviest arrows but do build my arrows to specific dynamic spine targets (I'm real old school) with zero regard to what the finished weight ends up being.
