Nightforce sunshade stuck

Looking for options, just bought a barely used 8-32x56 NXS for stupid cheap. Showed up today (I was already made aware of the problem) but the sunshade was twisted on at an angle and it’s STUCK. I tried with all my might. Notta.

Any remedies? Cool tricks? Or just send into nightforce?

I'd send it in if I were you.
Maybe a quick dip in the freezer for a couple hours then gentle heat with a heat gun while chucked up in a padded vice. If it comes off your threads are probably doa so you'll be shadeless going forward.
