Not huntingGo figure...... I really dont understand a 20 mil gap for a 12 power optic. Who is shooting 20 mils on 12X? That's assuming that individual hasn't even dialed. Heck even my slow 6mm ARC shooting 108 ELDMs at 2550 fps, it takes me 1400 yards before I hit 20 mils.
YesLeupold went the wrong way with the Mark 5.
Mainly March with FML1 these days but I still have a range of others and for a while I had tried more or less every FFP scope vaguely suitable for hunting on the market - S&B PMII with P4F, Bushy 3-12 LRHS, etcWhat scope/reticle are you using?
Edit - I looked up the FML1 and the thin crosshairs appear to be the same 0.07 mil as the SWFA 3-9 so I don’t think I would have any trouble with it. The TMR reticle is the one that is too fine for me.
I have a 3-12 LRHS and it works fine. That scope is what made me think that I didn’t really need anything more than 12X.Mainly March with FML1 these days but I still have a range of others and for a while I had tried more or less every FFP scope vaguely suitable for hunting on the market - S&B PMII with P4F, Bushy 3-12 LRHS, etc
I regret selling mine, it is still one of the few decent options.I have a 3-12 LRHS and it works fine. That scope is what made me think that I didn’t really need anything more than 12X.
The LRHS2 is only about an ounce heavier than the 3-12 but it is a heck of a lot longer. Both are quite a bit heavier than the SWFA 3-9.I regret selling mine, it is still one of the few decent options.
It's a shame they stopped making them and GAP only bought back the larger model (which exceeds my size/weight requirements)

The advertised spec is 775gm which is almost exactly 100gm more than a 3-12 LRHS. I draw the line at 700gm these days. The LRHS2 is only about an ounce heavier than the 3-12 but it is a heck of a lot longer. Both are quite a bit heavier than the SWFA 3-9.
L-R: SWFA 3-9, LRHS 3-12, LRHS2 4.5-18
