Why is a single shot trust a “mess up”?I messed up and did the single shot trust through SS
I’m not sure your numbers are accurate. First and foremost, the ATF folks have no rhyme or reason as to why application A is approved in 1.5 days and application B takes 30 days. Plenty of folks see trust approvals happen in 1-3 days, also longer of course.Because it’s taking longer. Wait times for individual without a trust are quicker. Difference is 10-14 days
It’s all relative, I’m not waiting 3-12 months like in the past. But I’m still anxious to get it in my hands and get using it!
I have a question since this is my first ATF eform application. Once everything is e-signed and "certified" (now my understanding is that I am just waiting on ATF approval) does ANYTHING about the current submittal or process show up when you login to your atf eforms account?
No. Only the submitter (your dealer) can see the application status.I have a question since this is my first ATF eform application. My second F4 took longer than my first. This was at the beginning of the year and both were approved within a week.I wouldn't count on it, I have 10 or 12 cans, got 3 last year, including one in November, those took 1-7 days. I have gotten two F1s approved this year, one was around a week and the other just got approved a few days ago at 42 days. Currently waiting on an F4 from 2/7/26. There's no fast lane for folks already in the system, it's just a toss up.
Given that individuals are now going substantially faster than trusts, I'll probably do my next one as an individual. My second F4 took longer than my first. This was at the beginning of the year and both were approved within a week.
