NFA Approval after January 1

Prints arrived in WV last Monday, FFL got approval today to release. No email or notification on my end, 5 biz days total. Not bad

I submitted 3 form 4's on 01/05, one on 1/12 and the last one on 1/16. All are but 1 are going on the same trust, and none have been approved yet. On the reddit NFA thread it seems like several are getting approved in less than 10 days. Curious if my late additions have slowed the process down for me or if there is no rhyme or reason on how the ATF approves things.

No, the email to the individual is hanging and not being sent/delivered but the emails to the FFLs are being processed correctly. Sounds like its something in the .gov system. At least, that seems to be the gist from what the internet has told me

One of the Youtube channels reported that end users were not being notified. That youtuber said you needed to call your dealer and have them check for approval.

I didn’t get the email. The shop called and had been notified.
I got the email on all the processes except that it was approved.

My form 4 was submitted 01/04 and approved 01/09. I received an email approval from atf and got a phone call from my dealer.

I was surprised it went so fast. Usually when I do a 4473 it takes at least an hour to come back.

Anyone else just absolutely shocked that the ATF is processing these so fast still? To think tjst my 1st can was almost 2 years on approval. My last couple have been less than 5 days.

My CN from late August 2024 is lower than my cn from January 12th this year. Just as an idea of how many they are running through this year.

I'd sit tight. Give it the rest of the week, at least. The most recent submissions showing up on reddit are 1/9, so I bet you are close.

I’m going to wait about two weeks before contacting my dealer. I still hope to get that ATF approval email.
