The media is Barraging us with “Guns are bad” messages.

I think its important to know a few key facts:
1) something like 97% gun related crimes are committed with illegally obtained guns ( FBI stats should seperate out suicides, IMO)

2) over 70% of gun related crimes are committed by previously convicted criminals

3) multiple studies have shown that between 1 and 1.3% of legal gun owners in the US have used their firearm to Protect themself or stop a crime in the last 12 months

I have personally been in a situation where just displying my firearm to 3 thugs in a dark parking lot was enough to prevent anything bad from happening.

The takeaway, guns are bad in the wrong hands so go after them ....NOT the 99% of lawful gun owners in the US.
