We stashed the blind and everything but the essentials. Hands and knees in the rain and thunder. We are 200 yards. Still moving forward but we will have to setup shortly. Out of cover in 30 yards.

Awesome! The birds around us were shy. My daughter probably had a chance, but Dad balked as I thought it was just a tad too far. Tomorrow.

I miss turkey hunting in Wisconsin. I had 400 acres there of private land I could hunt on for free. Here in GA everyone charges a fortune to hunt on their land. Many farmers in WI let you just hunt if you're polite and respectful. Not here!

We got out yesterday morning to scout, as I'll start hunting Wednesday. Here is an as they lay pic. Young 8 point. Also got some nice footage of a big wolf. Will post up when I get time.

Video is for grainy and unstable we were hoofing along when we spotted this guy. He was a long ways away and I couldn't see him on the screen, although he was there.

I got out this morning and there were a lot of birds around me. 8 or 9 of them. Problem is they were all around me on the private, surrounding the small chunk of the public I was on

In the office today because of weather. I have a hunt lined up tomorow with my my brother. We'll be running video on a new spot with a lot of potential. Plan is for me to run a 100 grain Ironwill through some breast meat and my brother to follow up with a little dose of #6 love. We'll see how it all works out!
