Whats an off season gear project you have?

I blew out the 2 way Zipper on my 20+ year old down bag in Sept on my elk hunt. I thought I was going to have to replace the zipper altogether but a quick REI video shows a little trick where you just pinched the zipper a little bit tighter on the outside edges with some pliers ( it doesnt take much) and then reengage it, That did the trick for me.

Meanwhile I decided to lubricate the zipper because it was in pretty bad shape. I rubbed some paraffin into the zipper on both sides and then heated it with a hairdryer. I did that 2X and ran the zipper up and down four or five times to work it in.

Holy smokes what a difference that zipper is like brand new. Now i just might add a little bit of 900fill down as its lost a kittle bit of loft over the decades

I had two of my tents hanging in the garage to make sure they were fully dry. They're still there. :) Thanks for reminding me I need to go repack them properly.

Years ago my buddy stashed his wet wall tent in his Grand Junction buddies garage and forgot about it for a couple months, Bad deal- that thing was toast.

Today- I scrubbed the blood off my Exo pack and power washed it
