Got a chance to play with this at the expo and talk to Mr Tricer himself. Super solid dude and super solid product.
The bipod does lock in 45 degree forward and rearward angles as well as 90 degree forward and rearward for storage.
I compared the Hatch and Gunwerks as well. Both super nice bipods with their own pro's/cons. Ultimately the Tricer won my order. It has all the same features of the Hatch but is much lighter and much cheaper. Hatch doesn't have the pan feature, Tricer does.
The Gunwerks had some cool features like spring loaded leg deployment, but no 45 degree forward/rearward lockout. I also don't think Gunwerks has the pan feature.
The only design feature I liked better about Gunwerks and Hatch is their bipods stow closer to the stock, the Tricer hangs down a bit lower when stowed.
I didn't compare the MTD bipods as they are more $$ than I am willing to spend for a bipod. I did hold one and it seems well built yet heavy compared to Tricer.
Hope this helps anyone on the fence.
Thanks again Mr Tricer for the conversation and for the Bipod!
