New to fixed blades- overthinking it?

Decades ago, Bear changed their point on the razor head to a chisel. I don't know why for sure, but my guess is better penetration. That head is similar without the chisel point.

I’ve killed plenty with a 2-blade stinger buzzcut and traditional archery tackle. They work great for me.

I have never had reason to change.

I had one Stinger do what Roosie's did, I think it was a bad screw. Plus the 4 blade stingers are a 1/2 ferrule.

I wanted more of a 2.5 to 1 blade angle and stronger design so I went to the German Jeager head and have been shooting them since. Plus they are a lot cheaper. I don't feel the need for an expensive super steel head, the Jaegers have held up really well on multiple uses.

I wouldn't change a thing if you are happy with the results. I have used Magnus Stingers for 20 years or so. I won't be switching. They have worked better than any other for me. Accounted for dozens of deer and the best bucks I have killed. Have seen numerous times after slipping one through the ribs broadside the deer just stand there and look around and even continue eating for 3 seconds or so then stumble and fall.
