Just got an email from Battlehawk Armory that Staccato is discontinuing the newer, doublestack version of the Staccato C, and confirmed it with a call to their factory. They'll be continuing to support it, including making mags for it, but their production is going to be shifting over to their HD line, with the Series 80 trigger that uses Glock mags.

It's disappointing as hell, given that it's just about the slimmest duty-grade 2011 out there, especially given the exceptionally rave reviews of its performance and reliability @Formidilosus has shared.

Battlehawk has some, and Gunbroker does as well. Just picked up a DLC'd one, that I thought I'd do next year sometime. If you're interested in a doublestack C, which definitely does seem to be a special gun, waiting probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Unfortunately there goes the best out of the box pistol made.

Were they not selling? Did ownership transition or something? Seems really odd.

I wouldn't have been nearly as well dialed-in on what they're capable of if it hadn't been for the things you've shared here about them, especially not in time to have jumped on one with this announcement. So, thanks for that.

I've been holding off but I guess I might have to finally pull the trigger on one.

Also, is the difference between the stainless and DLC barrels large enough to hold off until I can find a DLC? Or just get what's available?
