Thank for sharing this necropsy report. I'm having a hard time seeing what is going on with the wound. Other than the fact that the bullet destroyed a lot of the heart and lungs?! Was there an exit wound and if so about how big dia? I'm entering all of this data in a running spreadsheet so thanks ahead of time.

okay, thanks for clarification. Did the bullet exit? That isn’t heart or lung that is behind the front shoulder/leg on the entrance side, with the front quarter of deer removed

-1???- I plan on buying 1 case of match ammo for practice. Any recommendaions as to which brands are best?
-When you use nail polish as loctite replacement do you apply it to the threads, then allow it to dry anf then re-install?
The ADI 55gr blitzkings are affordable and have shot well in my tikka 223 and others also. The 69gr matchking version has mixed reviews lot by lot but I haven't seen anyone complain about the 55gr yet. Brass looks of decent quality to reload afterwards and no crimp to deal with.- I plan on buying 1 case of match ammo for practice. Any recommendaions as to which brands are best?
I shot my tule cow elk last year with the McGuire 93 grain 6mm. 475 yards one shot dropped. Highly recommend.@Formidilosus what are your opinions if any on the McGuire 93 grain 6mm? My father-in-law shot his California muley and bull elk with the 168 grain 30 cal with impressive results, granted both shots were under 200 yards. Just suggesting another possible non lead option for the OP.

I'm saving that ADI brass I mentioned above and plan to work up a load with the 73eldm most likely (I also got a box of 75bthp and 53vmax here)Do ya’ll save your .223 brass?
Forgot to post pics, not that looks matter
It is not nearly as sexy as the Anti-x, Proof Carbon, Altitude stock, NF scope .308 I built for a friend a few months ago. But also several thousand dollars cheaper.
With scope but no suppressor it weighs 8.1 pounds.
Bought 4 cases of hornady eld-m and got first rounds down range…..1.45” 10 round first 100 yard grouo… here we go.

Was swapping a trigger out on a 700 clone for my brother.I save 223 brass if shot out of a bolt and no crimped primer. Gas gun brass I don’t fuss with.
What needed hammering?

Hey, thanks for posting this. I'm tracking necropsy reports for various calibers and bullet and wonder if you know approximate muzzle or impact velocity from your gun and also if there was an exit or not?Picture for reference. High shoulder entrance.

Muzzle velocity was roughly 3180. I have since changed loads and don't remember what the impact velocity would have been. There was an exit on this as well, out the base of the neck.Hey, thanks for posting this.
