As many of you know I lost my beloved Drahthaar of 14 plus years last week. I was hoping she'd hold on a bitonger as my pup (8 mo Drahthaar) is pulling habits from her.

This weekend was epic. She will now jump from the boat on command and run and dive off a dock.

These dogs are incredible field dogs and this one is no slouch.

As a 4-6 month old she was bringing me sheds, now she's starting to shine in the field.

I'm blessed!

It’s always hard to lose a good dog. I had to put my German Shepherd down around the new year.
Very cool on the new pup.

Good looking pup! I have a hard time thinking Drats can be female with their epic beards and staches 😁

She has exceeded expectations tenfold. She will ride a ski tube and surfboard, runs 10 miles at 18mph and never think twice about it.20210703_164314.jpg

We did have a close call picking huckleberries. I called her across a road with a guardrail thinking she'd come under it....she jumped it and kinda freaked at the cliff she was gonna bail down.

She hit the brakes mid air and took an I beam to the guts. Left a wad of hair on the metal which had a nasty burr.

It cut her, but not through the leather thank goodness. I snapped a pic of it a week later.... tough dogs!20210725_122252.jpg20210725_122249.jpg20210725_122242.jpg

How do you like that dog tracker device? What data does it provide or simply to keep track of them?

It allows me 9 mile range on the dog/s. In that range it shows location, activities (pointing, treeing, barking), i can tone or shock the dog with my choice of level. I can switch the collar signal send intervals to conserve batteries. All of the above can be saved to your phone.

Dogtra make it....works well.
