Never seen the numbers this low so late in the season.Quota numbers looking awfully low this year… it’s reflected my season so far. Scrambling to locate them in the snow now…

Is it worth it as a non resident to travel to CA to rent a car and drive around and hunt bears?
I've only been to San Francisco for a wedding but my SIL sends pics of bears around Truckie.
Is there public land?
Your vacation may leave you scarred for life.I was thinking about my post at Lunch...
What happens to an out of towner that shows up to San Francisco and starts asking where "the bears" are?
Yep- acorns would be about the only reliable food source at this point I could think of that’s still around for them to eat… maybe some pinyons as wellI always get a lot on my cameras but when season rolls around they have moved on to different feed. I would think this time of year it would be areas with a lot of dropped acorns and I don't know what else.
I’ll send ya a messageI’m in Reno, NV would love to come kill a bear but don’t know even the first thing about finding bears. Maybe I know a thing or two lol, but I’ve never actually hunted bear.
If anyone would be willing I’d love some help this winter to e-scout some areas hopefully not too far away and put together some plans for summer scouting and how to turn that in to a dead bear.
