So, then the biggest will be the 6400 and that will be the best equivalent to the 5500? I don't mind if it's a little smaller than the 'old' 5500, as I'm sort of between the 3500 and 5500 now anyways, with the extra space, it's more of a 'better to have it and not need it' scenario. 6400 would probably do just fine then, thanks for the responses!

When I spoke to Mark he said the main bag is a little larger on the 6400 then the old 5500. So, the main bag that holds the majority of your gear will be larger. I think this is a win.

Yep. If you pack most of your stuff in the main bag then it should be a little easier

There is a new post from Steve on the Exo Mountain Gear and Mountain Hunting Facebook page today detailing more of the changes in the new frame along with some pictures. Unfortunately no pics of the new bags yet. I'm sure he will post something similar here soon but head over and check it out if you can't wait.

The 6400 will have less volume than the 5500. 5500 is a little over 7k with side pockets and lid. 6400 is 6400. Stopped by EXO earlier to shoot the bull and talked a bit about the bags. Steve wasn't in, his wife had their son yesterday, which ironically was my birthday as well. The 5500 is still going to be their largest bag.

When I spoke to Mark on this on the phone a couple weeks ago he said that the 6XXX will be bigger then the 5500.
Heck now I'm just as confused.

The main bag volume is bigger on the 6400, the total volume on the 5500 is bigger when you include the side pockets and lid. Clear as mud, right?

My son just got the 5500 last week. Very nice pack. Only thing that might make it better is a full zip to the top

Son of a biscuit! That looks sweet! Just ordered a custom seek bag and now I’m going to have a hell of a time avoiding a K3 purchase..

Any idea if the new bags will have the U shaped zipper for main compartment access like the current 2000 bag?

Also curious to the actual cubic inch sizes of the 2019’s

Great pack and customer service

That thing looks massive to be "only" 4800 ci. I always love when new gear comes out so looking forward to seeing more pics.
