I figured I'd ban them right before they could use the classifieds so 4 posts to go. At thier current post rate it shouldn't take more than 2 years or so to get there.

Hey guys, new to the forum. I’ve been laughing at your posts all day. I talked to a game warden at Lake Roberts this past weekend and they said that the actual draw is done. They did break the 5 year trend, I’m hoping for this week but I’m sure it’ll be on schedule. I was really hoping it would be today so I could snag an Idaho elk tag tomorrow if I don’t draw here!

Just want it to post before Utah and Kansas draw deadlines. Which are Thursday and Friday next week respectively. But would also like more than 24 hours to make any changes to my plans as well.

I just binge read all the posts from today after checking draw results on NMGF at 7PM....gosh I'm getting smart in my old age. All the laughs, and without some jokester giving me a heart attack ; )

Good luck getting a returned ID elk tag....there are only 304 of them!

Thanks for the info, I’ll also add to this with something I saw. Please note it should be taken as pure speculation on the internet because I don’t even know who the guy is, what he does, or how he was informed.

On one of the FB threads about the delay, a guy, who cited no sources, made it seem as if he heard the audits were not correct. This could explain the delay, they could be checking to ensure the R/NR %’s and what not are correct. Again, I’m not sure of the validity of that statement. Just something I saw.

I'm hoping to grab an ID tag tomorrow as well. Thought I had the points to pull a WY limited tag this year so I didn't put in early...but, they reduced quotas due to winter kill quite a bit in some zones post draw deadline.

I'll still have CO OTC (I'm a resident of unit 43) but hoping to pull a NM tag...Utah, Nevada and Arizona are long shots for the units I put in for, and I drew MT last year. Will have a couple deer tags, but elk are my favorite!

CO is also on my list. If Idaho does not work out, I may try that out as well! You can’t beat elk hunting, I was fortunate enough to draw some NM exotics this past year, but they just don’t match up to elk!
