I'll ask on here so it may benefit others. Anyone figure out how to run this frame without a belt? There are two straps/tabs that look like they should be used for something but I can't really figure it out.

I'd also like to echo that the ultralight frame is really flexible and the foam pass are like memory foam soft.

I'm interested to hear about this as well. When I got to see the new frame, there are straps sewn to the belt that connect with the shoulder straps. If you remove the belt, I didn't see any way to easily connect the upper shoulder straps to anything without adding some webbing and maybe even a connection point.

Since it was only recommended on the 22" frame I'm wondering if they removed the option of going belt less on the 24" and 26" frames.

Quite possible. So can anyone comment on whether the 22" frame already has these extra straps that would be necessary?

I asked the same question a while back on the K forum and this was arons reply:

"There's tab loops/attachment points on the new frames that will allow you to use webbing straps for the shoulder straps when the belt is not attached."

I have no idea if those straps would come with a 22" frame but i doubt it, probably have to add to an order.

I'm looking at my new 22" frame right now. I see some straps kinda sewn together at the bottom of the frame that may be used. They are definitely not the standard Kifaru tab loops though. I'll try to get a picture...

Edited to add: I figured it out. Yeah you will need a set of k-clip straps. The k-clip hooks onto the tab loops at the bottom of the frame and then the straps run through the ladder locks on the shoulder straps. Slick, but the statement below remains the same.

It would be nice to know if extra straps were required to be used without a belt...

I AM SO FN PISSED RIGHT NOW. I originally made arrangements for Kifaru to send the new pack and all the goodies to my P O Box because there has been a rash of thefts in our neighborhood lately...cops suspect one of the teenagers in the area. I didn't want it swiped from my porch so I figured it would be safe at the Post Office. Well everyone and their 2 year old knows UPS doesn't deliver to P O Boxes...everyone except Kifaru's shipping dept apparently. Instead of using Priority mail (which would have placed the pack in my hands already) they chose UPS and now my pack is leaving So. Cal and heading back to CO and they say there is nothing I or Kifaru or God Almighty can do about it. It cannot be rerouted, picked up at the local UPS hub. Why promise to ship to a PO Box then use a courier that refuses to deliver to PO Boxes? And how do you fail to recognize that mistake? Common sense is not common enough!

I live in a small town and ups delivers to our post office and they leave a card in the po box saying you have a package and to pick it up at the front desk. Glad I don't have your post office.

Where's Bruce welcome to the pain Alaskans deal with on a regular basis. Haven't had this problem from Kifaru personally but atleast once every 2 months from different vendors. Sucks for sure but I guess I roll with it now at this point . Certainly not scream at that laptop pissed about it ;). Hope they get it worked out quickly for Ya.

So you blame Kifaru for shipping it UPS when you selected UPS shipping during checkout?

Kifaru's shipping policy states that certain options are not available to PO Boxes (https://store.kifaru.net/shippingpolicy.aspx).

I have all my expensive stuff delivered to the ups store. I live in a condo and if I don't it just sits out front.

USPS basically sucks and I only use them for junk mail.

No...I included the request on the original order and then reconfirmed it via email. I got a reply from Kevin stating my request would be accommodated.
That link also says: International shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise stated upon your order.

Well if they are shipping other orders via Priority then they could/should have shipped mine that way BECAUSE WE ARRANGED IT THAT WAY. It was just a stupid, negligent move.
