New bags from KIFARU?!

I seen a post about new kifaru bags on instagram and came here right away looking for info. I don't see any post on them. Anyone have any info? Cant wait for Aron to post up some footage of them.

Info from instagram:

Argali 7,200 (1lb 14oz)
Markor 5,200 (1lb 12oz)
Tahr 3,400 (1lb 5oz)

Fit on all three frame sizes, have an expanded meat shelf, can be used with or without lid, 3 compression straps.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm in the market for a new pack to attach to my duplex but I'm not in love with any of the current Kifaru bags. Pretty stoked to check these out.

I've been saying that they had some new packs coming but they haven't released much info yet. I'll be excited to see the specs/videos on these.

Im in that exact same boat. Just ordered a camp bag for now. Hoping one of these new bags will be the ticket. An instragram reply from kifaru said they are no frills UL type bags. I am crossing my fingers for a center zip style bag.

The post also shows a new pocket that is a spotting scope pocket designed for these bags that looks great.

My guess is they are high camps with meat shelves and pals webbing, and the current high camps are being completely phased out.

They did away with the lower zipper access and added a middle strap to the Argali. Looks like a pretty nice setup, very streamlined.

^ they are not modified HC bags, while similar they are a different bags which address the needs of the lightweight folks, shape and function look to be improved.

I would love to see Kifaru make a second generation Timberline bag or you could call it a Hicamp/Timberline combo bag, which does have Timberline side compartments that extend the "entire" length of the bag and has "no" zippers at all (i.e. no lower zipper or sleeping bag compartment). Also keep the lower compression straps just the same as they are on the Timberline so that the main bag could be compressed for day pack mode, while the entire side compartments could still fit extra long items. That would be a highly functional and light weight pack.

With this hybrid pack, a guy wouldn't need any extra pods. And even with a bow remaining attached to the front of the pack, there would still be immediate access to the full length side pockets, the lid, and the upper portion of the pack from the front of the floating lid.

Couple of observations:

- The weight difference between the Tahr (3400ci/1 lb 5oz) and the Markor (5200ci/1lb 12 oz) is substantial compared to the Markor (5200ci/1lb 12 oz) and Argali (7,200 ci/1lb 14oz). I'm wondering what the larger two packs have that the smaller one doesn't.

- Surprised there's no bottom access on the larger bags. For the DT3, I thought a lot of people disliked it's narrowness and lack of bottom access.

- Looks like the new spotter pocket has the option to attach via tri-glides.

- Looks like the tab loops are very similar to the highcamp series, with the addition of some on the front/center. I'm guessing you could run 3 belt pouches up front if you wanted.

This should get interesting to see. I personally run the HC bags and really like them. No frills, just simple. I added a large side pocket to the front of my HC 4800 this season and I am still on the fence about weather or not I like it.

The Tahr is actually 1lb 15 oz, not 1lb 5oz. It's heavier due to an attached "meat shelf" from what I can gather.

My bad. I was looking at the specs in the OP's post. I saw on the instagram post it states the Tahr is 1lb 15 oz.
