New Frame and Bags from Kifaru International

Gotcha so you can't really swap from Bikini frame back to G2 frame then without some creative sewing huh?

I must not be explaining myself very well.....or your not)

You can swap back and forth without issue.....no sewing....no cutting.....just like normal.

I thought you wanted K hooks on your old pack.....my bad.

That's correct, but will also have the horizontal stiffness like the Duplex.
Sounds good Aron, i'll give them a call and see what we can get figured out.
It really looks like this frame will have the slight bit of give that the KU and T1 frames have but still be able to be used as a seperate meat hauler if I am seeing it correctly.

Wow...that thing looks sweet! Whats your approx CI with that setup Aron? Would any of the attachments hold the spotter? Hanging my spotter off the pack makes me a little nervous.

The top zip long pockets will hold most spotting scopes. What spotter are you running?

If you run a back pouch, Long pocket and 2 Belt Pouches, you'll be pushing 8500+ cubic inches.

All you'll have to do is cut of the female buckles...

The tab loops left over from where the female buckles were located will be your attachment points for the K hooks.

Aron,

And how would this work for mounting the Meat Shelf in the higher position as described in your video? I'm thinking that a DT3 bag and the new frame would be the perfect daypack setup for me.

BTW, it's even more clear now why, as one of the designers of the new setup, you decided on having an unbiased party test the Stone Glacier pack. Good call - but from what I've seen so far, I'm already liking the new Kifaru better!

Swaro 80mm ATM. I'll have to measure it and check the dimensions of that pocket. With that setup of pouches you'll still be under about 6 1/2 lbs if I'm figuring it correctly?

Actually, you can run the KU long pocket and save even more weight.

If you run the High Camp bag, KU long pocket and 2 large 500D hip belt pouches, you'll be under 5.5 lbs.

Oh come on now you could run 4 KU large possible pouch large and be right at 5 pounds and have an extra 1600 cu in. :D

Aron or Ryan , when I go to buy this pack or anything else advertised here does it help Rokslide if I link in from here to make the purchase ? Don't know if your customers track this.

O.K. Aron you sold me. I've been thinking about a kifaru pack for a while now but something was holding me back. This is perfect for me as I can have frame, small bag, have lightweight day pack with meat hauling capabilities. This is what I use most often for short two night trips. Also can put large bag on for week long trips and still be light. I am impressed by Aron and the guys at kifaru for continuing to improve and not rest on great packs they already have. Now if Aron can just get my wife to be o.k. with the cost of new pack, then I will really be impressed!

............

Yes, the bags will only come in Coyote Brown.

That is a bit of a bummer. It (the CB) is a cool color, and for me and the animals I hunt here in Oregon, I think the Coyote Brown is just fine ( as I do not think camo or color matters that much). But....... it is the two legged animals with guns in their hands that I am concerned about when either bowhunting during open rifle seasons or even rifle hunting with those same 2 legged animals holding guns. I could put on some hunter orange on a bag; but I do not normally like to do that if I can avoid it.

As you know it is really, really green here and not a lot of light brown in the woods. And.... a lot of those two legged animals with guns here seem to think that only four legged animals actually get off the road and walk in the woods. And for a lot of them; if something is brown walking in the woods- it must be something that can be shot. Especially during any sex "hair" hunts; you know the saying- "if it's brown, it's down". ;)

So, even normally now during those times when the two legged animals have guns in their hands; I am careful about what I am wearing color wise when walking in the woods.

Oh well- I am still interested in the frame since I could put my foliage LH Guide bag on it. :)
