I’m in your camp. Thinking the 1p ArcDome might be my new go to shelter if it pans out. I like the design and materials. Just hoping the application is good. I would say so far the only thing I don’t love is the size/shape of the vestibule. But I think in the end that will be a small annoyance if everything else is good.Well I have no experience with either so far, so I wouldn’t put much weight to any of my ramblings yet. @6.5x284 latest experience is not confidence inspiring in the least.
I had the latest version of the Mountain Star w/Carbon poles snap a couple years ago in moderate wind, right where the pole comes out of the exposed sleeve and begins to get clipped.
The Unna is widely regarded as a very strong tent, more so than the Niak, in the Hilleberg line. I’m a little more interested in a 1p ArcDome Ultra at this point (Similar design as Unna), as “appears” to have had better performance thus far on the various UK YouTube camper/blogger channels. They may be a bit pedantic, but they do put their tents in some pretty harsh conditions in Snowdonia and the Peak District over there.
