New Durston X-Dome for Alaska hunts??

Well I have no experience with either so far, so I wouldn’t put much weight to any of my ramblings yet. @6.5x284 latest experience is not confidence inspiring in the least.

I had the latest version of the Mountain Star w/Carbon poles snap a couple years ago in moderate wind, right where the pole comes out of the exposed sleeve and begins to get clipped.

The Unna is widely regarded as a very strong tent, more so than the Niak, in the Hilleberg line. I’m a little more interested in a 1p ArcDome Ultra at this point (Similar design as Unna), as “appears” to have had better performance thus far on the various UK YouTube camper/blogger channels. They may be a bit pedantic, but they do put their tents in some pretty harsh conditions in Snowdonia and the Peak District over there.
I’m in your camp. Thinking the 1p ArcDome might be my new go to shelter if it pans out. I like the design and materials. Just hoping the application is good. I would say so far the only thing I don’t love is the size/shape of the vestibule. But I think in the end that will be a small annoyance if everything else is good.
