Got one ordered, now I wait. Unfortunately there probably be a decent amount of snow here by the time I get it. Can still set it up in the garage

I'm excited to see what the more solid material inner, 2 person will weigh. Provided the solid inner went up a ways, maybe half way ish, I'm hopeful with the right pitch condensation could be mitigated as well as spindrift for occasional snow limited. If so and kept reasonable on weight, I'll likely consider it against the TT Arc Dome. One of them will likely get ordered next summer!

Pre-production models with a ferrule issue. Not the poles that will come with it per Durston’s follow up response.

I’m curious on pricing. Is durston buy once cry once quality?

IMO …NO!

For the price point, ($250 for X-Mid 1 2 yrs ago), I’ve throughly enjoyed my X-Mid. It’s an entry level price, with upper level quality. I’d definitely pay more, if I had to do it over again

My X-mid gets the most use of my 4ents:
1) Durston X-Mid 1
2) Kifaru Sawtooth w/stove
3) Hilleburg Nallo 3GT
4) 14x17 Wall Tent
