Gross. I'm not a big fan of carbon tent poles
Me neither. I had a Mountainstar carbon pole break in the wind. There are currently no repair sleeves yet for the Durston tent either. He said he’s working on them, but I would have thought he’d have a solution ready when released.

I wonder if they are a standard pole length? Maybe order a pair of Easton Syclones? Outside of the poles I'm pretty interested.

And not having a pole repair sleeve to go with a tent you designed to be used in shitty conditions.....pretty interesting lack of foresite. It's almost like they were rushing to get the tent out for some reason.....

I may have to give one of these a try. I've come full circle again and a free standing, double wall tent is more appealing lately. The carbon poles are my only hang up....its hard to look away from the Niak that I thought I had settled on. ....or the Akto (not free standing, but doesn't tie up my sticks) ...The XDome 1+ is about half the weight.

I know you can but the Easton Syclones from Tarp Tent. Does anybody know the length of the carbon poles for the X-Dome?

But, at that point, price and weight would be pretty comparable to several other options
