I know there’s no one perfect boot for all types of hunting. Budget allows for 1 pair of quality boots. If you had to have 1 pair for all types of hunting are the non insulated Nevada’s the most versatile option from Crispi? Or are there better options.

I rifle backpack mountain hunt in early October, elk hunt end of October. Hunt in September occasionally as well as scouting early season. Plus Spring bear and Turkey. And always blacktail rifle hunt wet western Oregon in October.

Here's my .02 for what it's worth...For me the Crispi Nevada Insulated boot is more versatile and more"perfect" than the uninsulated version. The only time insulation bothers me is the very earliest season and then for maybe a week. After that, I prefer a little insulation from late August to January. But as far as the Nevada goes, yes, it is as perfect of a "catch all" boot as I've ever owned. (and I've owned a TON) I've never found 200 grams too much insulation anywhere in North America past 9/1.

Thanks for the reply. And yes, that makes sense. I still think I’m leaning towards the non insulated though. In a perfect world I would have 2 pairs, the insulated Nevada and an ultra light (summit or Thor)

I have the insulated Nevada’s and the Thor’s. Not many scenarios I hunt in that aren’t covered by this combo. I f I could only have one, I could get by with the Nevada’s alone.

Thanks for all the help and experiences
That does sound like the Ultimate 2 boot setup to cover all needs
