Negative Comb AR Platform?

Just putting together some ARs and wondering if a buttstock that was a little higher with a negative comb towards buffer tube would be beneficial. Or, since the buffer tube is already in line with the bore would there be zero benefit? Or is the value of negative comb going to be beneficial with higher mounted scope?

In all honesty, I'd have to say there's zero advantage in a negative comb in terms of recoil management - there just isn't enough recoil there to really be a problem. Something that is helpful on the edges of performance is a perfectly vertical butt, like B5's SOPMOD, rather than the more undercut ones you see. But even then, you really have to be running an AR hard, and pushing yourself on a shot-timer to start seeing where it becomes beneficial.

What’s the purpose of the rifle? Operator type stuff since you’re working a shot timer?
